Note from Wade Parkhouse, I asked him if he felt a PhD was appropriate for SCA. Our work, in part would be to convince (ourselves and everyone else) if we want to move forward on this path.
“I am not convinced that a PhD is appropriate for SCA but I am supportive of professional doctorates which I understand are more common programs for students entering from a MFA. I think SFU needs more professional doctorates which are very common in Britain and other places. We only have the EdD. New degrees take about 12-18 mo to get Ministry approval. ” Note from Wade Parkhouse.
